Hurrah the bugs have been zapped in my laptop. The internet was going all wonko and put me in a really terrible mood. Clearly, I have some kind of symbiotic link with my tech lol.

At last the rumours have been confirmed - Russell T Davies is gonna leave his job as showrunner of Doctor Who, after the year of just specials. Then that most excellent of writers, Steven Moffatt will take on the job. Yay! I really look forward to seeing how he reshapes and envisions the show. It's all exciting.

Check this TNA Knockouts promo: Crossing the Line
Totally inspires me. Makes me wanna write, always a good thing.

I think it's safe to say that my appraisal could have gone better today. Tanya, my lovely line-manager, talked to me about some of the things have people told her about me - that sometimes I'm short and rude with them, that I've refused to book taxis (which I'm sure I've never done), and that I haven't passed on messages (again, something I haven't done. Definitely some miscommunication going on there). The rudeness I accept and am ashamed of - stuff I've gone through this summer presses down on me when I'm stressed at work and I tend to lash out. I've never let my personal problems affect my work before and I feel like I've let myself and Tanya down by behaving like that. Some people there must have a real bad impression of me. Also the head of school, a really tough woman who demands high standards, has some nit-picky stuff like I have to acknowledge her every time she passes through reception, though its unlikely that she'll acknowledge me.

I kinda expected critical comments, cos I know I've crossed the line into unprofessionalism several times in how I've talked to some of the academics. I just don't want people to think I've used my personal situation as an excuse for my behaviour. Tanya was very understanding and told me all about the stuff she's gone through personally over the past year (definitely doubly worse than mine). I'm not gonna be bowed by all this, I've learnt that criticisms can be used constructively to refine you and that's what I plan to do.

So I've plugged myself into some wrestling stuff (thank you, internet) and am truly loving how TNA are developing the Traci/Kaz storyline - please say you're not gonna abandon it with no resolution! Also there's a new ep of Robin Hood tomorrow and that makes me happy. Hurrah for the weekend.

Ok, so the good news is that my Mum's operation appears to have gone ok today as far as we know. Dad phoned me tonight to say he'd heard from her and that she was throwing up (perfectly normal apparantly), but she's fine. So that's good - thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers. Ali now has toncilitis, it's so bad that it's making her cry when she swallows and she's trying all kinds of remedies. It also means she can't get close to Mum til she's better which sucks.

There was a lot of cheap and free food at work today - after a catered meeting, Nicola brought down all the posh leftover sandwiches, chips, dips and quiches to put on my desk for anyone who wanted them. Also there were leftover cakes from the McMillan coffee morning on Friday that we were selling off cheap. All very good for the soul. I was overrun by freshers though and probably got a little too snappy at one point cos they often expect us to have all the answers when really we're a directory and switchboard for enquiries. I've gotta get a better handle on my patience.

TNA is really firing my brain up for fics - I'm loving the Roode/Kaz feud cos I love the Kaz/Ms Brooks chemistry. Please put them on TV and PPV! Also am enjoying writing Tomko, especially when he's dealing with AJ Styles. And of course, seeing more of the promo material for the new series of Robin Hood is doing weird things to my brain, I dread to think what fics are gonna appear from it after seeing the first episode.

Trying to book my second trip home this month is proving impossible - it won't accept my bank card details. So not what I need right now. Gonna try again tomorrow and then try booking at the station when I get back to Soton on Sunday or maybe even whilst I'm waiting for my train on Thursday morning. Either that or take a sledgehammer to the computer - it's a toss-up really.

Torchwood squeeage! I discovered a casting confirmation for Torchwood series 2 that really got me excited. I'll stick it under the cut so that people aren't spoilt.

Also congratulations go out to Scott Levy (the wrestler Raven) who got married in January and I just found out when checking his wicked official website that he does journal entries for. She's beautiful and your words about your love for her really made me smile. Yay for you both!!

Summary: Raven sees something in Christy Hemme that no one else bothers to look for. A story of their first times.
Author Notes: Inspired by the false rumour that Christy was gonna debut in TNA as Raven's girlfriend. This came out way better than I expected, definitely one of my best fics. All feedback is welcome.
