I cannot work out why I'm so tired. Maybe I should get to bed before midnight more often. Meh.

So it's goodbye to Stargate: Atlantis. The finale was surprisingly good considering how turgid season 5 has generally been. For someone who has always been very Ronon/Keller, I find myself attached to Ronon/Amelia now. Still prefer McShep above all though lol (totally the fault of [info]starandrea who lured me into this fandom with a single intriguing animated icon and many many fic recs. You deserve thanks, my love. I have loved the journey I've been on with them all). I'm in two minds whether I'm actually gonna watch the forthcoming Atlantis movie and have decided that overall, SG1 was a better more consistent and more complete show. I enjoy the later episodes as well as the early ones.

Watched the first episode of current CSI season, to say goodbye to Warrick and it freaking broke my heart. I knew it was coming and, oh the angst and Sara in Grissom's office and their hug and heart-to-heart and Grissom breaking down at the funeral. It was both horribly heart-wrenching and beautiful at the same time.

I heard the news yesterday that this current season of Stargate Atlantis is to be its last. It has been cancelled and will go on the DVD movie route as SG1 has. I feel kinda numb about it. I adore the show, especially the main characters, but the fanfic of the show is better. Weird? I guess so. I am forever grateful for the show bringing me into this world and for opening me up to a world of fanfics that have blown me away. American TV management worries me though, Atlantis was doing well in the ratings. Why cancel it?

Watched the first episode of Flashpoint, cos I'm a police show geek, and recognised Amy Jo Johnson after only seeing half of one side of her face. It's official, I am a Power Rangers nerd. She looks like she's hardly changed at all, what's her secret? Also, it's a gratifyingly good show - tense and full of terse shorthand and a really nicely tight team, though I could have done without the brash young rookie who hits on the female team member.

Finally had the guts to watch the season finale of NCIS season 2 tonight. I've had the boxset for ages and have watched every other episode, but haven't been able to bring myself to watch 'Twilight'. But I did and it was a really steller episode. The perfect one for the circumstances.

Second episode of series 5 of Stargate: Atlantis tonight.

Happy Mothers Day! I sent my Mom a card and a magnet to make her smile. We've spoken today, she recieved them, and is doing ok. Dad's finding it hard to adjust to being at home but has gotta learn that it's gonna take time. It's gonna be a journey.

Kudos to the Stargate: Atlantis team. I cried watching the last scene of The Kindred Part 2. Heartbreaking. And next week's the series finale which they're totally gonna end on a cliffhanger, grrrr.

I actually bought an item of clothing yesterday when I went shopping with Kate. It was great to see her and catch up. I told her all about Anthony and she told about how she ended up dating Lerys, a guy we both lived with in my last uni year. I'm so happy for them, totally didn't see it coming but it's great. Then we trawled through the shops, she found some church work safe tops and I couldn't resist this cute tee - pale turquoise green with capped sleeves and silver reflective butterfly and female face sketch pattern. It's one of the girliest and softest things I own. Most of my stuff is darker and edgier, but I do really like it. It'll be perfect for the hot weather, maybe even for summer.
