My parents and brother and sister went to see my Grandma this past weekend. According to Dad and Mum she's even more crotchety and critical now and definitely feeling the affects of her illness, she had a take a nap during the afternoon. Mum said that Dad handled seeing her ok, he takes her sharp opinions to heart so much and gets stressed out just at the thought of visiting her so we were worried that this visit might unhinge some things. So far he's doing ok but as Mum said it's only gonna get worse. I am really hoping to see my Grandma over Easter so that I can spend some time with her, hopefully Dad can handle two visits to his mother in such a small space of time. Apparantly the prognosis is that she has months to live rather than weeks or days, we're hoping for more solid information soon.
I had a great night out on Friday at Unit 22, my first visit there since before I was ill. I got to see Andy DJ (as superb as always), spend some time with Chloe who I haven't seen for a while (feeling all skittery cos her exboyfriend was down and staying at her house and everything was a little weird for her since it was a recent breakup), and got to dance with Jess. The only thing I hate about going there is how I smell like an ashtray afterwards, the sooner the smoking ban hits the better. My weekend lie in was even more valued than usual since I got back from the club at 3.30am Saturday morning and washing my hair felt even better than normal on Sunday when I scrubbed the smoke out of it. Unit is still the best club I've been to, I get all sorts of great ideas for outfits and accessories there as well as amazing music. Plus there's this great friendly atmosphere of people united cos we all love the same music and that side of life, more places should be like that.
