Watched Farrah's Story tonight, the amazingly raw video diary that Farrah Fawcett did during her cancer treatment. It's so moving, seeing the pain and indignity she goes through and she's so strong and sweet, taking delight in life. I'm so glad I watched it. I've been watching episodes of Charlie's Angels recently too. It all seems to fit together.

Panic over, the last part of Anthony's present turned up today. I am so very relieved. I intend to wrap it tomorrow, for his birthday next weekend, and buy a card too. A difficult task as the cards for partners are either soggily sappy or indecent. It's always a triumph to find something actually with the right tone. It is my mission and I choose to accept it lol. Excitingly it's the charity ice hockey game he's gonna take part in next weekend too. I am going there to laugh as well as be supportive lol.

I am considering the pull of setting up a Twitter account.

It was a really beautiful journey back to Southampton. The views are always so spectacular, Anthony and I read and watched DVDs on his laptop and just enjoyed the journey. When the trains run right, it's such an enjoyable experience. The house here is peaceful, but without the others around I always feel on edge when I'm trying to sleep in an empty house. I do have great grandpa's truncheon beside my bed though, so I am armed and ready should I need to be :)

Gah, Anthony's birthday present still hasn't turned up and it's now been the expected delivery time and his birthday is a week on Sunday. So I am gonna email them tonight to ask what's happened. I have warned Anthony that part of his present will likely be an IOU. He's been trying to guess and he has got it right, but I hope that I haven't let on!

I am really enjoying Chuck right now, having finished the first series and begun the second. It's a lot of geeky espionage fun. And Leverage series 2 started last night and it was wonderful to see the gang again, they are so great together. Plus I'm looking into Scarecrow and Mrs King, which is turning out to be delightful. It's great to explore the past and the present delights that TV has to offer :)

Happy Birthday to my Grandma, 95 years old today. I am beyond proud! She's always said she's not ready to go yet and I believe her. I love you, Granny Plymouth xoxo

It's been a whirl since I got to Cornwall on Thursday, but the most important and exciting thing that has happened is my birthday on Friday. I am now 24 glorious years old, kinda a strange thought but age has never mattered to me. I'm not one of those girls who feels incredibly upset about how many years she's got. Just a number to me.

Most excitingly, I now own the first two series of Stargate Atlantis, almost none of which I have seen before, so I can't wait to get started on them at some point soon. Also the Robin of Sherwood soundtrack and the first volume of the anime book Return to the Labyrinth. I feel all spoiled, in the best way possible. Plus thank you for all the lovely birthday greetings, you guys are lovely and it really made me smile.

Right now, I am hiding out from the Wimbledon men's finale cos Rafa Nadal was coming so close to beating Federer (whom I adore also) and is now on unsteady ground against the defending champ. I so want Rafa to win but I can't see it happening this year now. I can't take the pressure of it anymore so I'm hiding out online.

Happy Birthday Dad! You'll never read this, but I am mucho proud of all you've done in recent months and hope that your day is as perfectly enjoyable as you deserve, Wish I was there with you.

Also, the Criminal Minds season finale killed me. JJ/Will is very cute (he has that glorious Cajin accent that makes me die), though I could do without the hints of Hotch/posh lady detective and seriously, we don't all speak in cut-glass English accents like that over here! Too long to wait til season 4.

Also I have a mouth full of ulcers and so can't enjoy food much at the moment. Jess told me last night they're caused by stress or lack of sleep lol so I've caused the pain myself by stressing out. Seriously, I had this horribly vivid dream last night where everything went wrong in the up and coming Point and Click stuff. I've got to get a grip on myself, as a wise lady said it'll pass soon and won't matter afterwards. I've got to stop getting so worked up about these things, it's clearly unhealthy. So here's to a positive attitude!! (and hopefully less ulcers as a result!)
